Boy Scouts Troop 490:
Troop 490 is proudly entering its 51st year as part of St. Mary Magdalen Parish. Our meetings are held in the scout room, above the chapel, every Tuesday from 7:30 - 9:00 pm. Interested boys in grades 5 - 12 and their families are welcome to join us and see what scouting is all about. More information can be found by using link below.

Catholic Youth Organization CYO:
The St. Mary Magdalen CYO is for teens from 8th grade through 12th grade to be involved in spiritual, service, sports, and social activities aligned with our Catholic Faith. Students can attend any school. Many of our CYO members have received recognition and awards by the Archdiocese of New Orleans. You can find their stories on the CYO page of SMM’s website.We invite all youth & young adults to join our organization. The dues are $20 per year with a portion of that covering insurance through the Archdiocese. New members are welcome to join anytime. KC Ladies Auxilliary:
Our K.C. Ladies Auxiliary was organized and chartered on February 2, 2002. Since that me the Ladies Auxiliary has connued to grow each year with the approval and support of the Pastors, the Knights of Columbus Council and You, our parishioners.
Mission Statement ‐ We support our Parish and the Knights of Columbus in their efforts for Charity, Unity, Fraternity & Patriosm. We actively work within our parish to enrich Fellowship and Community and Spirituality. SMM KC Ladies Auxiliary will work hand in hand with all Organizaons and Ministries of our Parish. Founded in 1882 by the Venerable Michael J. McGivney, the Knights of Columbus is the largest Catholic fraternal service organizaon in the world with nearly 2 million members. Membership is open to all practicing Catholic men ages 18 and older. If you are interested in helping those in need, serving your parish and community while growing in your faith, the Knights of Columbus is the organizaon for you. Naonal programs in which we parcipate include Special Olympics, Global Wheelchair Mission, Habitat for Humanity and Coats for Kids. Locally we sponsor lunches/ recepons for SMM altar servers, CCD classes, and fair setup workers; organize Right to Life acvies; and, assist charities such as ARC of New Orleans, and the Magnolia School. Men’s Club (STMM):
Who We Are: The Men’s Club has many purposes. We do projects, big and small around the school and church . We award scholarships for (2) 7th graders each year. We donate money to some of the teachers’ events throughout the year as well as purchase items for the classrooms and school.
Our annual events include: Back to School Party / Annual Softball Tournament / King Cake Breakfast Lenten Fish Fry’s / Crawfish Boil / Turkey Fry / Seafood Festival / Crawfish Cook-off. We hope many of you enjoyed our deep fried turkeys at your Thanksgiving meal!
The Men's Club wants to invite you to any of our monthly meeting usually on first Monday of the month at 7:00 PM in Massett Hall. Feel free to bring any friends who may be interested in joining, whether they live in the parish or not, we hope to see everyone there. If you wish to join the Club, 2022 dues of $30.

Parish Fair Committee:
Our Committee plans our Parish's only fundraiser, and we need your support to make it a big success. It takes alot of work to put on the fair, so whether you can help on the comittee or help working during the fair, it helps. All proceeds are dedicated to St. Mary Magdalen Parish. St. Jude Society:
St. Jude is known as the patron saint of hopeless causes. Members of the St. Jude Society organize semi-annual St. Jude Novenas to be held at church. In addition to organizing the novenas, members of the St. Jude Society help feed the poor by giving out food baskets every week, sponsor Christmas, Mardi Gras and Easter parties at the Veterans Administration hospital, purchase two bullet proof vests each year for local police, print a monthly newsletter and monitor a prayer line.
