Parish School of Religion students and parents are invited to a Family Reconciliation Prayer Service and reception of the Sacrament of Reconciliation in Church on Tuesday, December 1st , at 7:00p.m. During the season of Advent we should prepare our hearts and our minds for the coming of the Christ Child at Christmas by examining our lives, asking pardon for our sins, and reinvigorating our souls with God’s grace. Teachers will also be available for conferences at this time. Masks and social distancing will be required.
Dear SMM PSR Students and Parents,
I hope that you are all safe and recovering from Hurricane Zeta. Although it was a strong hurricane, we thank Our Lady of Prompt Succor for protecting us from the dangerous effects of the storm.
You should be halfway through the required sessions for the semester. You shoud be completing Unit 1 Session 5. Challenge the people in your house to play the Fishers of Faith Game to review Unit 1. . I realize that many people were without electricity and Internet for several days. Take a breather and check your progress. Most of you are right on schedule, but some of you may have to catch up a bit.
Your teachers really miss seeing you in class, but they are so proud of your efforts to keep learning about Jesus and his Church.
Be sure to thank your parents for taking an active part in your education in faith. Jesus' Church is not a building or even a business; it is the people who live and worship together as a family of faith, and that family of faith begins in your home.
Remember that Jesus loves you and will always be with you!
Yours in Christ,
Ms. Maria

Parish School of Religion
The Parish School of Religion Program is for students in 1st-11th grades who are not currently attending a Catholic elementary or high school.
Due to the pandemic, classes will not meet in person every week. Rather, as the first educators in faith of their children, parents will oversee the online guided instruction provided by the textbook publisher and supplemented by the PSR teachers. Students will complete one lesson per week on their own time and submit the completed work through the PSR email address smmpsr@arch-no.org
