Click on this box for advice on finding and eradicating the root sins that prevent us from getting to God as shared by Fr. Chris on the 1st Sunday of Lent.

Lent is a 40 day season of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving that begins on Ash Wednesday and ends at sundown on Holy Thursday. It's a period of preparation to celebrate the Lord's Resurrection at Easter. During Lent, we seek the Lord in prayer by reading Sacred Scripture; we serve by giving alms; and we practice self-control through fasting. CLICK ON THIS BOX FOR THE FULL SCHEDULE OF SERVICES FOR LENT & EASTER 2025..
The current regulations for Fasting and Abstinence during Lent are as follows:
- Individuals between the ages of 18 and 59 are required to fast on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday by having only one full meal and two smaller meals that together are not equal to a full meal.
- All over the age of 14 are required to abstain from meat on Ash Wednesday and Fridays during Lent.
