This Saturday the TEC (Teens Encounter Christ) group attended 4PM Mass and afterwards continued to celebrate Christ. TEC is a ministry that reaches out to young people through retreats focused on the life , death, and resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ to facilitate a personal encounter with Him. Fr Chris is the pastor to this ministry. While there were no teens from our parish, it was nice to see so many young people in Mass.

Next weekend we will celebrate Priesthood Sunday, September 29, 2024, a special day to honor priesthood in the United States. Consider expressing your thanks to Fr. Chris and Fr. Bob by writing a note of appreciation for their vocation. Return your personal notes to the baskets in church next weekend.

St. Mary Magdalen parishioners are asked to consider spiritually adopting an unborn baby and pledging to pray that the child will be carried to term. Pledge cards can be found in the chapel, at church entrances, and in the Respect Life Alcove. Catechetical Sunday, September 15, 2024, is an opportunity to affirm and acknowledge the staff and volunteers who teach in the religious education programs in our parish, bringing the message of Jesus Christ and His Church to the children and adults of our faith community. On this day, all Catholics are invited to recommit themselves to support, by prayer and action, the Church's catechetical ministry.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation and Penance will be offered from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, at St. Mary Magdalen Church and at all churches in the Archdiocese of New Orleans.

ChristLife Part 3 (Sharing Christ) will start on Wednesday Sept. 11. This will be the first time Part 3 is hosted by St. Mary Magdalen. It is requirement that you have attended Part 1 & 2. Part 3 is a 7 week long session. All meetings will be held on Wednesday in the Discipleship Center from 6:30-8:30 PM, except the retreat on 10/26, which will be held on Saturday from 9AM-4PM in the Discipleship Center, followed by Mass.
