ST. JUDE SOCIETY on Monday, March 25, 2024, the St. Jude Society invites you to join them in a morning of reflection in the St. Mary Magdalen Chapel. Scedule is as follows:  9:15-Adoration 10:15-Rosary 11:00-Stations of the Cross (Stations will be in the St. Jude Prayer Garden weather permitting and if raining it will remain in the Chapel.

Our candle stands have finally arrived and have been placed outside the chapel along the rear wall of the church. For an offering of $5.00, the larger candles will burn for five days. The smaller candles will burn for eight hours for an offering of $1.00. Thanks to the generous support of our parishioners for Give SMM Day in November, visitors to our church now have a way to visually express their prayers for a deceased loved one or for a special intention.

Several of our parishioners have recently been recognized by the Archdiocese of New Orleans for their generous and dedicated service to St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church. Sara Degrouttola was recognized as the Serra Club 2024 Outstanding Altar Server from St. Mary Magdalen. Sara received a certificate and a medal at a Mass on February 29, 2024... The 2024 recipients of the Order of St. Louis IX award from SMM are Jack and Linda Biven and Kenneth and Patsy Ricau. Their medallions were presented by Abp. Aymond during a prayer service on March 3, 2024. We congratulate all and thank them for their faithful service to SMM.

Emeritus Alfred Hughes conferred the Sacrament of Confirmation on juniors in high school from St. Mary Magdalen and Our Lady of Divine Providence Parishes. Congratulations to our Young Church! ...
