Summary Statement of Sessions: As a key component in the St. Mary Magdalen Parish Vitality Process, on May 18-20, 2024, the Steering Committee conducted six (6) Listening Sessions to gather feedback and solicit input on the Pastoral Strategic Vision and Facility Master Plan. Facilitated by the Vitality Steering Committee, two questions were presented to over 100 parishioners who attended. Input forms indicated an effectiveness rating of the sessions an 8.8 out of 10. Thank you to all our participants for their thoughtful input. A summary of the input follows.
Question #1: Having been presented with the DRAFT version of the Pastoral Strategic Vision, what are your thoughts on the goals and strategies? -Increase Youth Involvement -More Educational Opportunities -Expand and Promote Ministries -Outreach to Various Groups -Changes/Additions to Mass -Ministry Involvement/Activities -Communication is Important/Vital -Additional Social Events/Activities
Question #2: As you know, St. Mary Magdalen is considering the feasibility of a future Capital Campaign. What are your thoughts on the Facility Master Plan Proposal? - Prioritize Repairs – Refer to Feedback - Fundraisers, rent cafeteria, grants, etc. - More Outreach – Community & Beyond - Be Transparent – Plan and Money - Needs to be done to keep the parish going - Financial Concerns - Utilize Volunteers and Invite - Offer Systematic Ways of Giving - Offer Systematic Ways of Giving
