At this time, our SMM Capital Campaign pledges have reached 95% of our goal of one million dollars to renew, replace, and repair our aging HVAC systems so that our family members can pray, play, and participate in air-conditioned comfort during the summer and stay warm during the winter. Thus far, we have collected approximately 41% of the money pledged. We are currently meeting with contractors and suppliers to have the new A/C unit in the church completed by May. We are very close to meeting our goal; however, we still need EVERYONE in the parish to share in this campaign to bring our parish infrastructure into the 21st Century. Every gift, large or small, adds up! We are also well-aware that the cost of materials and labor is rising rapidly. The prices quoted to us when we began the Capital Campaign have only increased and will continue to rise over the coming months. We hope to surpass our goal to account for inflation. The weekend ofMarch 8-9, SMM Capital Campaign folders will be available after all Masses for anyone who has not already received a campaign folder. Please take a folder and carefully review the plans for our Capital Campaign. Then, prayerfully consider what you can contribute to help us meet our goal. If you have any questions or concerns, there will be a Capital Campaign Question & Answer Session on Tuesday, March 11, at 6:00 PM in the Discipleship Center. Fr. Chris and the Campaign Leaders will be there to go over the Facility Master Plan and to answer any questions you may have. Our consultant, Bernard Dumond of Catholic Vitality 360, reports that SMM parishioners have responded with an enthusiasm and generosity that well exceeds the norm in the many campaigns he has managed. Thank you to all who have already pledged and donated! Your support of our parish will guarantee that St. Mary Magdalen can continue her mission to Share Faith, Make Friends, and Move Forward in the coming years.
